Baghdad: Prime Minister, Mohammed Shia’ Al-Sudani directed to purchase all tickets for the match between our national team and Palestine for the Iraqi fans.
According to National Iraqi News Agency, a statement from the Iraqi Football Association stated that “Prime Minister Mohammed Shia’ Al-Sudani made a phone call to the President of the Iraqi Football Association, Adnan Dirjal, during which he directed the purchase of all tickets allocated to Iraqi fans wishing to attend the match between our national team and its Palestinian counterpart in the qualifiers for the 2026 World Cup.”
The statement added, “This initiative comes in light of the continuous support provided by the Iraqi government to the fans and the national team, and reflects its commitment to overcoming difficulties facing loyal fans who aspire to achieve the dream of reaching the World Cup.”
According to the statement, the head of the Iraqi Football Association, Adnan Dirjal, praised “Prime Minister Mohammed al-Sudani’s initiative,” considering it “an important step in supporting the fans and motivating the national team on its journey to qualify for the World Cup. This step reflects the government’s interest in sports and its role in uniting fans behind the national team.”
He emphasized that “this support enhances public attendance, which gives the players a significant morale boost to achieve positive results. This step will contribute to increasing public attendance and motivating players to perform at their best.”
