PM Directs the Need to Complete Ongoing Projects and Adapt to the Financial Situation for 2026


Baghdad: Prime Minister, Mohammed Shia al-Sudani directed the completion of ongoing projects and adaptation to the 2026 financial situation, emphasizing the importance of adhering to specifications and adopting transparency in work.



According to National Iraqi News Agency, his media office said in a statement that Prime Minister Mohammed Shia al-Sudani chaired a meeting today, Sunday, of the service and engineering team.



The statement added that the meeting reviewed the progress of projects for 2025, according to the pre-prepared plan and in light of the financial allocations for each service sector or ministry in Baghdad and the provinces. The team’s plan for 2026 was also discussed and reviewed.



Al-Sudani praised the team’s work and efforts in implementing projects targeting areas that had not received any services from the state or civil departments, and its ability to provide services to approximately 5 million citizens throughout the government’s term.
