Baghdad: Prime Minister Mohammed Shia al-Sudani held a meeting with Omar Ahmed Mohammed, the Chairman of the Board of Commissioners of the Independent High Electoral Commission (IHEC), to discuss ongoing preparations for the upcoming general elections.

According to National Iraqi News Agency, discussions during the meeting focused on securing all necessary requirements to facilitate a smooth electoral process. The meeting also covered the commission’s procedures for updating the voter registry and the ongoing registration of new voters, emphasizing the importance of ensuring that all citizens can exercise their electoral rights.
