Baghdad: Prime Minister, Mohammed Shia Al-Sudani reaffirmed the importance of adhering to the scheduled date for parliamentary elections, stressing the need to provide the appropriate conditions to ensure their success and broad public participation.

According to National Iraqi News Agency, Al-Sudani received former President Barham Ahmed Salih on Sunday. The meeting focused on the latest developments in the country and the region, emphasizing the need to unify national discourse and political positions to maintain political and security stability throughout Iraq.

The two sides also discussed ongoing government plans to develop economic, service, and development sectors, and the importance of continuing reconstruction and infrastructure projects that serve all Iraqis.
