Baghdad: Prime Minister, Mohammed Shia al-Sudani inaugurated, via video conference, Al-Kifl transformer station and the expansion of tire stations in Najaf, North Hillah, and Old Diwaniyah, as well as a number of pivotal power supply projects in the Middle Euphrates governorates, as part of a plan to relieve bottlenecks in the national grid.

According to National Iraqi News Agency, the inauguration ceremony highlighted the government’s ongoing efforts to improve the power infrastructure across key regions. The projects are designed to enhance electricity distribution and manage the increasing demand on the national grid efficiently. The initiative is a strategic move to address the frequent power shortages experienced in the Middle Euphrates governorates.

The Al-Kifl transformer station, along with the expansions in Najaf, North Hillah, and Old Diwaniyah, signifies a critical step towards modernizing the nation’s electrical grid.
