Karbala: Prime Minister, Mohammed Shia al-Sudani confirmed that the Karbala Solar Power Plant project is the first of its kind in Iraq. During his teleconference inauguration of the first phase of the Karbala plant project, al-Sudani highlighted Karbala as a pivotal region for service and development achievements, emphasizing the importance of integrating solar energy into all housing projects.

According to National Iraqi News Agency, al-Sudani announced that within the next two months, the country is expected to achieve a capacity of 75 megawatts of solar energy.
