Baghdad: PM Ali Al-Zaidi highlighted on Monday the importance of transitioning toward multidimensional relations with the Coalition countries. Al-Zaidi met with the Commander of German Forces Deployed Abroad, Gunter Schneider, and his accompanying delegation.
According to Iraqi News Agency, the meeting focused on the bilateral relations between Iraq and Germany, exploring ways to strengthen and further develop these connections in the military and security fields. Both parties discussed joint programs aimed at enhancing the performance and efficiency of the Iraqi Armed Forces.
The discussions also included preparations for the completion of the withdrawal of International Coalition forces from Iraq. The Prime Minister emphasized the importance of evolving toward multidimensional relations with the Coalition countries, acknowledging Germany’s significant role in supporting Iraq during its fight against terrorism, especially in confronting the Daesh terrorist organization.
