Baghdad: Prime Minister, Mohammed Shia al-Sudani received an official invitation on Thursday from Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan to attend the High-Level Strategic Cooperation Council meeting, which will be held in Turkey next May. The invitation was received during his meeting with Turkish Ambassador to Iraq Anil Bora Inan.
According to National Iraqi News Agency, al-Sudani affirmed his acceptance of the invitation, noting the government's keenness to maintain the momentum of the relationship with Turkey, which is witnessing growth at various levels.
Al-Sudani directed the preparation of joint files, including security, water, industry, military industries, energy, transportation, trade, higher education, and other files, to ensure that the outcomes are comprehensive and enhance cooperation and achieve the supreme interests of both countries.
