Baghdad: Prime Minister Mohammed Shia Al-Sudani sponsored the signing ceremony of a memorandum of understanding between the National Investment Commission and Talaat Moustafa Holding Company for Real Estate Development. This agreement pertains to an Iraqi-Egyptian-Saudi investment project focused on developing part of Al-Rufail Economic City, located west of Baghdad, and aims to capitalize on promising opportunities within its various sectors. The event was attended by the Chairman of the National Investment Commission and Suleiman bin Abdul Qader, Chairman of the Saudi Al-Muhaidib Group.
According to National Iraqi News Agency, the Prime Minister’s Media Office released a statement highlighting that the ceremony included a review of the designs for integrated cities by the group, along with a detailed explanation of the economic city. The presentation covered aspects such as areas and planning, services, schools, hotels, and other service facilities.
The Prime Minister welcomed the group and all partnerships, emphasizing the state’s support for investment projects and commitment to providing necessary facilities to enhance the investment environment in Iraq. He remarked on the acceleration of development plans and the inclusion of vital development projects.
Hisham Talaat Moustafa, representing the group, expressed readiness to cooperate and initiate implementation procedures for the contracted projects.
