Baghdad: Prime Minister Mohammed Shia al-Sudani affirmed the continuation of developing the health sector’s infrastructure. During his inauguration via videoconference of a number of medical centers caring for newborns and premature babies, al-Sudani highlighted progress in the health sector.

According to National Iraqi News Agency, al-Sudani stated: “Global indicators point to a significant improvement in the decline in child mortality in Iraq.” This statement underscores recent advancements in healthcare services aimed at reducing child mortality rates.

He further mentioned that Iraq will soon witness the inauguration of important hospitals in Baghdad that had previously faced delays. This development is part of the government’s ongoing efforts to enhance healthcare infrastructure across the nation.
