Diyala: Diyala Operations Command of the Popular Mobilization Forces (PMF), in cooperation with security forces, launched a large-scale security operation this Monday morning in Hamrin Mountains, northeast of Al-Azim area in Diyala Governorate.

According to National Iraqi News Agency, the 23rd, 24th, 62nd, and 4th Brigades participated in the operation, in addition to the Special Forces Regiment of the Sector Command, the 1st and 23rd Divisions of the Army, and the Diyala Police Command.

The operation was launched from the Aisha Camp, and forces moved along three main axes: the first from Najana area, the second from the vicinity of the village of Albu Tarimish, and the third from near the village of Umm Al-Hawali.

The operation aims to enhance security and stability in the rugged areas of Hamrin Mountains and pursue terrorist remnants that may have taken refuge in these areas.
