PMF Arrests 55 Suspects, Dismantles Terrorist and Ba’ath Party Networks Across Iraq


Baghdad: The Popular Mobilization Commission has announced the arrest of 55 suspects and the dismantling of networks associated with terrorism and the banned Ba’ath Party across 12 governorates.



According to National Iraqi News Agency, the arrests and dismantling were part of a series of security operations carried out by the Intelligence and Information Directorate under the supervision of the PMF Chairman and Chief of Staff. These operations also targeted individuals linked to the leaking of state security information, organized crime, and deviant movements.



The Commission detailed the arrests as follows: 23 individuals were wanted for connections to the banned Ba’ath Party, 6 for leaking state security information, 5 for organized crime, 4 for terrorism-related offenses, and 7 for links to deviant movements.



All arrests were executed based on valid judicial warrants and adhered to established legal procedures. The Commission also urged citizens to cooperate with security agencies and report any suspicious activities or wanted individuals by contacting the Intelligence and Information Directorate’s hotline.
