Iran: The Popular Mobilization Forces (PMF) announced on Thursday the arrest of a member of the ISIS terrorist group in the Nineveh Plains.

According to Iraqi News Agency, the PMF stated that detachments from the 30th Brigade’s intelligence division, operating under the Nineveh Operations Command of the PMF, successfully apprehended an ISIS member at one of the entrances to the Nineveh Plains. This operation was based on precise intelligence and field surveillance.

The PMF’s statement revealed that the arrest was the result of intensive intelligence efforts, leading to the capture of the terrorist. The individual is wanted by the judiciary under Article 4 of the Counter-Terrorism Law.

The statement further confirmed that after completing the necessary procedures and initial investigations, the accused was handed over to the competent authorities to proceed with legal actions. This ensures the suspect will face the consequences as determined by the law.
