PMF Captures Senior Baath Party Leader in Nineveh


Nineveh: The Popular Mobilization Forces (PMF) announced on Monday the arrest of a senior figure in the banned Baath Party in Nineveh province.

According to Iraqi News Agency, the PMF stated that a force from the Nineveh Operations Command’s Intelligence Division, specifically Brigade 30 Intelligence, conducted a special security operation. This operation, executed under a judicial arrest warrant, successfully captured a leader of the banned Baath Party in Nineveh.

The statement highlighted that the operation was the result of sustained intelligence efforts, which involved extensive surveillance, information gathering, and analysis over several months. This culminated in what was described as a highly professional and precise security operation, achieving its intended goal.

The PMF emphasized that this operation is part of broader initiatives aimed at apprehending individuals wanted by the judiciary, dismantling the remnants of the banned Baath Party, enhancing security and stability, and reinforcing state
authority in Nineveh province.
