Baghdad: A force from the Popular Mobilization Forces (PMF) defused several IEDs in Al-Baghdadi Island in Anbar province on Wednesday, the PMF said.

According to Iraqi News Agency, a force from the PMF’s 57th Brigade carried out a joint security operation in Al-Baghdadi Island, with the participation of a support battalion and an explosives disposal unit.

The operation resulted in the discovery of several explosives manufactured in the form of plates, which specialist teams safely defused in accordance with established procedures. The operation was aimed at securing the area and enhancing the safety of residents, it added.
