Baghdad: Prime Minister Ali Faleh al-Zaidi and his Lebanese counterpart, Nawaf Salam, have taken an active role in facilitating joint discussions on Sunday between key ministers from Iraq and Lebanon. The talks involved Iraqi Oil Minister Basim Mohammed Khudair and Communications Minister Mustafa Jabbar Sanad, who engaged in dialogue with their respective Lebanese counterparts.

According to Iraqi News Agency, the discussions were officially supported by the media offices of both Prime Ministers. The Iraqi and Lebanese officials are focusing on strengthening cooperation in the fields of energy and communications. The Lebanese delegation was represented by Energy and Water Minister Joseph al-Sadi and Communications Minister Charles al-Hajj, who are keen on exploring collaborative opportunities with Iraq in these crucial sectors.

The meetings are part of a broader initiative to enhance bilateral relations between the two nations, focusing on shared interests in oil and telecommunications. This initiative aims to foster a deeper partnership and mutual understanding, paving the way for future collaborations that could benefit both countries economically and strategically.
