Hilla: After a chase, police in Al-Qasim district, south of Hilla, arrested a murderer hours after he committed his crime. A force from the Al-Qasim district anti-crime office apprehended the man on Thursday following the incident. The suspect had killed a young man and left the body in an industrial workshop within the district.

According to National Iraqi News Agency, Babil Police Media Director, Colonel Ammar Al-Shammari, stated that the police discovered the body of the young man, who had been stabbed and abandoned in the workshop. Utilizing security camera footage, police managed to identify the suspect’s vehicle and pursued him, culminating in his arrest in the Al-Kifl district, south of Hilla. The police have since transferred the victim’s body to the forensic medicine department and have referred the suspect for investigation.
