Hilla:A police officer from the Jibla district, north of Babylon, was killed after being struck by lightning while in an agricultural area.

According to National Iraqi News Agency, the incident occurred during a rainstorm, resulting in the immediate death of the officer, identified as Ali Salman Al-Zidi.

Colonel Ammar Al-Shammari, Babil Police Media Director, confirmed the officer’s death and stated that the body has been transferred to the forensic medicine department.
