Diwaniyah: A police officer sustained a head injury after being accidentally shot by a child playing with the officer’s personal weapon in the Al-Daghara district, north of Diwaniyah Governorate.

According to National Iraqi News Agency, the officer, who is related to the child, was transferred to the General Hospital for treatment following the incident. The medical source did not provide additional details on the officer’s current condition.
