Atlanta: A police officer was killed in a shooting incident on the campus of Emory University in the US state of Georgia. The officer had arrived in response to a report of shooting on campus and was taken to the hospital in critical condition before his death was announced.
According to National Iraqi News Agency, Emory University had reported via its account on the X platform that there was a shooting on campus and called on everyone to take shelter in safe places. Later, NBC TV reported that the shooter was found dead.
No civilians were injured, while the police officer was taken to the hospital where he died as a result of his injuries.
