Political Analyst: Demands of October Demonstrations Need a Comprehensive Document Between October Demonstrators And The Sadrist Movement

Baghdad The expert and strategic analyst Hani Ashour confirmed that the demands of the October demonstrations need a comprehensive document between the demonstrators and the Sadrist movement.

He told the National Iraqi News Agency (NINA) that it is clear that we are on the third anniversary of the start of the October demonstrations, the absence of a comprehensive national approach that includes all the blocs with the demands of the people.

Ashour added that the state of separation still exists and there is no clear approach, and since the October demonstrations renewed their demands, this means that their demands were not fulfilled during the past years.

He explained that the demands of some blocs, the October demonstrators and the Sadrist movement are still at odds with each other, despite the demonstrations witnessed in the past period, which witnessed a dangerous escalation through the Sadrist movement’s entry into parliament, and other influential ones that did not lead to clear results.

Ashour stressed that there must be a unanimous opinion during this period that includes the demands of all the political blocs and October. Otherwise, the situation is still in the stage of political blockage and the weary people are waiting for something new.

He added that the demonstrations renewed demands and escalated them, if not in a comprehensive document between the Sadrist movement and October, which states that the mass majority is leading the change, not the political forces, so it will remain the same and will not lead to solutions.

Yesterday passed the third anniversary of the October demonstrations, which witnessed clashes between a number of demonstrators and security forces near Al-Jumhuriya Bridge and another in Al-Nisour Square, which led to the establishment of another demonstration on the 25th of this month.
