Popular Mobilization Forces and the Army Carry Out a Large-Scale Security Operation South of Mosul


Mosul: The Popular Mobilization Forces and the Army carried out a large-scale security operation south of Mosul.



According to National Iraqi News Agency, the Popular Mobilization Authority stated in a statement: “The forces of the Nineveh Operations Command of the Popular Mobilization Forces carried out a large-scale security operation along six axes, south of Mosul, with the participation of intelligence, the 21st, 73rd, and 58th Brigades, in addition to the Explosives Disposal, Medical Services, and Intelligence and Information Support Units, in cooperation with forces from the Army and other security forces.”



It added: “During the operation, the joint forces combed the areas of Al-Hawi, Al-Haj Ali, the Ain Al-Jahsh and Al-Adaya quarries, and the areas adjacent to the Tigris River, ensuring they were free of any hostile activities or suspicious movements by remnants of the terrorist ISIS gangs.”



This operation comes within the framework of the proactive security plan aimed at enhancing security stability in the governorate, preventing any terrorist breach that threatens the lives of citizens, raising the combat readiness of the joint forces, and enhancing field coordination.
