Mosul: Forces from the Popular Mobilization Forces, the army, and the police conducted a joint security operation in Wadi Akab, in Mosul. According to National Iraqi News Agency, the Popular Mobilization Forces stated in a press release: "Forces from the Special Missions Regiment and the 59th Brigade, under the Nineveh Operations Command of the Popular Mobilization Forces, conducted a joint security operation with the army and police, along with several supporting directorates of the Popular Mobilization Forces, in Wadi Akab. The operation focused on security checks and searching for wanted individuals, in addition to strengthening security control and increasing the level of reassurance among citizens." The statement further explained: "This operation comes within the framework of the Popular Mobilization Forces and security forces' strategy to clear cities of terrorist remnants, pursue wanted individuals, and ensure the stability of Nineveh Governorate."
