Kirkuk: A force from the Explosives Control Department of the 16th Brigade within the Northern and East Tigris Operations Command of the Popular Mobilization Forces (PMF) found a number of war mines left behind by the terrorist organization ISIS, southwest of Kirkuk Governorate.

According to National Iraqi News Agency, a statement from the PMF indicated that the mines were discovered during a search and combing operation in the vicinity of the village of Jadida. The force uncovered 11 war mines that were strategically planted to target vehicles and personnel.

The PMF reported that the mines were removed and managed by the explosives control units with high professionalism, ensuring no notable incidents occurred during the operation.

It was highlighted that this operation is part of the PMF’s continuous efforts to secure liberated areas and eliminate terrorist remnants.
