Baghdad: The Presidency of the Republic extended its warmest congratulations to the newly elected head of the Iraqi Journalists Syndicate, his deputies, and the members of the council, wishing them success in fulfilling their professional duties and responsibilities.

According to National Iraqi News Agency, the Presidency emphasized the pivotal role of the Iraqi Journalists Syndicate in consolidating the values of professionalism and responsibility. The syndicate is seen as key in defending journalists’ rights and guaranteeing freedom of opinion and expression, thereby contributing to supporting the democratic process, enhancing public awareness, and strengthening the rule of law and institutions.

The Presidency’s statement further highlighted the importance of creating a safe and free environment for journalistic work, preserving the dignity of journalists, and enabling them to perform their national duties with utmost professionalism and independence.
