Presidency Calls for Federal Coordination with Kurdistan for Flood Relief Efforts

Baghdad: The Presidency urges relevant federal authorities to coordinate with the Kurdistan Regional Government to expedite relief efforts for flood victims. The Presidency of the Republic affirmed its solidarity with the families of the flood victims and those injured by the heavy rains in the Kurdistan Region.

According to National Iraqi News Agency, the Presidency released a statement expressing its close monitoring of the situation in the Kurdistan Region, where floods and heavy rains have led to casualties, injuries, and significant material losses. The statement conveyed deep sorrow for the tragic events and reiterated the Presidency's full solidarity with the affected families and citizens who have suffered property damage.

The statement further called on the relevant federal authorities to immediately collaborate with the regional government to provide necessary support and assistance. The aim is to expedite relief operations and ensure the protection of citizens in the affected areas.
