Baghdad: President Abdul Latif Jamal Rashid and the head of the National Wisdom Movement, Ammar al Hakim, stressed the necessity of consolidating security and stability and strengthening national unity. The Presidency of the Republic stated in a statement that President Rashid received Al Hakim to discuss the general situation in the country and regional and international developments.

According to National Iraqi News Agency, the two leaders highlighted the importance of reinforcing security measures and fostering national unity. They emphasized the need for continued collaboration among political forces to fulfill the aspirations of the Iraqi people.

Additionally, the discussions covered the preparations for the upcoming parliamentary elections. Both parties underscored the importance of participation from all segments and components of the Iraqi population in the electoral process.
