Baghdad: President Abdul Latif Jamal Rashid received his Pakistani counterpart, Asif Ali Zardari, at Baghdad Palace.

According to National Iraqi News Agency, the Iraqi Presidency’s Media Office announced in a press release that President Zardari is on an official visit to Iraq, leading a high-level government delegation. This visit underscores the depth of bilateral relations between the two countries.

The statement further detailed that an official welcoming ceremony took place, attended by senior officials from both Iraq and Pakistan. During the ceremony, the national anthems of both countries were played, followed by an inspection of the guard of honor.
