Baghdad: President Abdul Latif Jamal Rashid has extended his congratulations to Nouri al-Maliki on his nomination for the position of Prime Minister.

According to National Iraqi News Agency, the President expressed his good wishes to al-Maliki, leader of the State of Law Coalition, who was nominated by the Coordination Framework forces. President Rashid emphasized the importance of this nomination for Iraq and its citizens. He expressed hope that al-Maliki’s leadership would lead to enhanced political stability, strengthen the principle of national partnership, and prioritize Iraq’s supreme interest, addressing the aspirations of the Iraqi people for security, development, and improved services.
