Baghdad: President of the Republic Nizar Amedi met with Nouri Al-Maliki, leader of the State of Law Coalition, in Baghdad to discuss Iraq’s general situation and recent developments, as well as regional developments and their impact on the country.

According to Iraqi News Agency, the meeting highlighted the importance of maintaining national unity and strengthening cooperation and coordination among Iraq’s political forces to reinforce political stability and support the country’s democratic process. The Media office of the president of the republic stated in a media statement that this unity is essential for the reinforcement of political stability and the support of the democratic process in Iraq.

The statement further mentioned that the participants also emphasized the importance of supporting the government in implementing its ministerial program. This support aims to meet citizens’ aspirations, strengthen the performance of state institutions, and advance development and stability.
