Baghdad:President Nazar Amedi has urged increased attention to the rights and needs of martyrs’ families and Anfal victims during a meeting with Kurdistan Region Minister of Martyrs and Anfal Affairs Abdullah Haji Mahmoud at Baghdad Palace.

According to Iraqi News Agency, the discussions centered on the conditions faced by martyrs’ families and Anfal victims, as well as efforts to address their rights and entitlements. Several files managed by the ministry were also part of the talks.

President Amedi emphasized the importance of providing necessary care and support, highlighting that protecting their rights and honoring their sacrifices is a national responsibility. He recalled the suffering endured by Iraqis under dictatorship and stressed that remembering their sacrifices is both a national and moral duty.

Minister Haji Mahmoud provided an overview of the ministry’s primary measures and programs aimed at supporting the affairs of martyrs’ families and Anfal victims, detailing the ministry’s efforts in this domain.
