Baghdad: President Nizar Amedi affirmed on Tuesday that completing the resolution of the Yazidi issue is a national imperative that embodies the state’s commitment.
According to Iraqi News Agency, the Presidential Media Office released a statement indicating that President Nizar Amedi hosted a delegation of representatives and officials from the Yazidi community at the Peace Palace in Baghdad. The president underscored that addressing the Yazidi issue is crucial for national integrity and justice for victims, urging all relevant parties to collaborate in meeting the remaining requirements to resolve this matter.
The statement highlighted the president’s view that achieving stability begins with justice for the victims. This includes intensifying search and investigation operations to determine the fate of the missing, creating suitable conditions for the return of Yazidi families to their homelands, and ensuring they have the necessities for a dignified life.
