Baghdad: President Nizar Amidi has expressed his unwavering support for initiatives aimed at strengthening the ties between Iraq and Lebanon for mutual benefit. According to National Iraqi News Agency, President Amidi, in a meeting with Lebanese Prime Minister Nawaf Salam and his delegation, emphasized the significance of continued dialogue and collaboration in political, economic, and cultural domains.

The meeting underscored the importance of addressing current challenges through joint efforts, with President Amidi highlighting Iraq’s commitment to fostering stability and advancing Iraqi-Lebanese relations. The discussions focused on establishing effective partnerships that align with the shared interests and aspirations of both nations.

President Amidi reiterated Iraq’s dedication to Lebanon’s security and political and economic stability, underlining the necessity of Lebanese national consensus and the fortification of state institutions to safeguard Lebanon’s sovereignty and unity. He also stressed the importance of halting regional escalations and prioritizing diplomatic dialogue to maintain peace and stability.
