Baghdad: The President of the Republic, Nizar Amidi, has underscored the critical need for enhanced coordination between Iraq’s security institutions and increased efforts to uphold the country’s security and stability.

According to National Iraqi News Agency, a statement from the Presidential Media Office revealed that President Amidi hosted National Security Advisor Qasim al-Araji at the Baghdad Palace to deliberate on the nation’s security situation. The discussions centered on bolstering political and security stability, with President Amidi advocating for improved integration among security agencies to support national security policies. He emphasized that these efforts should align with a comprehensive national vision that addresses both current requirements and future challenges.

President Amidi also highlighted the importance of national unity and solidarity among various national forces, stressing their role in supporting Iraq’s stability and development. He pointed out the significance of preserving the security and political gains achieved in recent years.

In response, al-Araji provided an overview of the National Security Advisory’s plans and future programs, which are designed to enhance operational efficiency and foster better coordination with relevant stakeholders. These initiatives aim to fortify the state’s capacity to tackle security challenges and strengthen overall security and stability across Iraq.
