Erbil: President of the Republic Abdul Latif Jamal Rashid met with Masoud Barzani, President of the Kurdistan Democratic Party, to discuss pressing issues between the Kurdistan Region and the federal government. The meeting, held in Erbil, focused on the political, economic, and social developments within Iraq and the Kurdistan Region, as well as broader regional and global developments.

According to National Iraqi News Agency, both leaders emphasized the importance of cooperation and coordination among political forces to bolster security and stability in the region. They discussed the need to improve services provided to citizens and to address challenges facing the political process and stability in the country.

The discussions also covered the relationship between the central government and the Kurdistan Region. Both parties stressed the necessity of adopting dialogue and activating coordination mechanisms to resolve outstanding issues.
