Baghdad: President of the Republic Abdul Latif Jamal Rashid and President of the Supreme Judicial Council Judge Faiq Zidan have underscored the importance of conducting the forthcoming parliamentary elections as planned.

According to National Iraqi News Agency, a presidential statement revealed that President Rashid met with Judge Zidan to discuss this critical issue. During their meeting, President Rashid shared insights from his recent participation in the 80th session of the United Nations General Assembly, where he engaged with various world leaders and heads of state.

The discussions between the President and the Supreme Judicial Council highlighted the necessity of adhering to the scheduled timeline for the elections. This includes completing all essential requirements and officially initiating the electoral campaign.
