Baghdad: President of the Republic, Abdul Latif Jamal Rashid, met with Secretary-General of the Council of Ministers, Hameed Al-Ghazi, at the Republican Palace in the capital, Baghdad.

According to National Iraqi News Agency, the meeting witnessed an extensive discussion of the political, economic, and service conditions in the country, in light of the challenges facing state institutions. The two parties stressed the need to proceed with administrative reform plans and develop the performance of government institutions to contribute to strengthening trust between citizens and the state.

The importance of improving the level of basic services was also emphasized through the implementation of effective projects and monitoring government efforts in the areas of infrastructure, electricity, water, education, and health, to achieve citizens’ aspirations.

The statement explained that this meeting comes within the framework of the ongoing coordination between the Presidency of the Republic and the General Secretariat of the Council of Ministers to enhance joint action and support decisions and policies aimed at improving the living and service conditions in the country.
