President and State of Law Coalition Leader Emphasize Need for National Dialogue


Baghdad: President of the Republic, Abdul Latif Jamal Rashid, and Nouri al-Maliki, head of the State of Law Coalition, have emphasized the importance of enhancing communication among national forces. The discussion took place during a meeting where both leaders highlighted the necessity of cooperation to address the country’s pressing issues.



According to National Iraqi News Agency, the media office of the head of the State of Law Coalition released a statement detailing the meeting. Al-Maliki welcomed the President to his office, where the President extended his congratulations to al-Maliki for the successful conclusion of the 19th conference of the Islamic Dawa Party and his re-election as Secretary-General. The President expressed his hopes for al-Maliki’s continued progress and success, emphasizing his potential role in the country’s development and the defense of the Iraqi people’s interests.



The statement further elaborated that the meeting served as a platform for both leaders to discuss the current political and security situation in Iraq. They underlined the significance of fortifying communication channels between national forces and state institutions. This collaboration aims to effectively tackle issues that impact citizens, particularly in security, political, and economic realms.
