President Nizar Amidi Discusses Regional Developments with Turkish Intelligence Chief

Baghdad: President Nizar Amidi met with Ibrahim Kalin, the head of the Turkish National Intelligence Organization (MIT), and his delegation, along with Hamid al-Shatri, the head of the Iraqi National Intelligence Service. The meeting focused on the latest developments in both regional and international contexts.

According to National Iraqi News Agency, the Presidency issued a press release indicating that discussions centered on enhancing cooperation between Iraq and Turkey in security and intelligence. This collaboration aims to safeguard the interests of both nations.

The statement highlighted President Amidi's emphasis on dialogue and understanding as essential tools for crisis management. He stressed the need for unified efforts to tackle cross-border challenges, which is crucial for maintaining common security and fostering a stable regional environment.

Ibrahim Kalin, representing Turkey, reiterated his country's dedication to sustaining coordination and cooperation with Iraq. He expressed a desire to explore broader opportunities for developing institutional relationships between the two neighboring countries.
