Baghdad: During a meeting at the Peace Palace in Baghdad, President Nizar Amidi met with Jabbar Hardan, head of the Supreme National Commission for Accountability and Justice, to discuss the pivotal role of law in state-building. President Amidi reiterated that the rule of law is the foundation for establishing a stable state.

According to National Iraqi News Agency, the Presidential Media Office stated that the meeting focused on the work of the Accountability and Justice Commission and the mechanisms required for implementing its duties within constitutional and legal frameworks. The meeting underscored the importance of adhering to existing legislation to bolster citizens’ trust in state institutions.

President Amidi highlighted the necessity of establishing justice principles and applying legal frameworks with professionalism and transparency. These measures, he noted, are essential for reinforcing public confidence in the governance system.

During the discussions, Jabbar Hardan presented an overview of the Commission’s key activities, the cases currently under its purview, and the ongoing efforts to meet its legal commitments. The meeting served as a platform for aligning the Commission’s objectives with the state’s broader governance goals.
