President Nizar Amidi Highlights Role of Religious Authorities in Strengthening National Spirit


Baghdad: President Nizar Amidi affirmed that the pronouncements of religious authorities represent a significant pillar for strengthening national spirit. A presidential statement indicated that the President met today with cleric Murtadha al-Modarresi, son of Grand Ayatollah Muhammad Taqi al-Modarresi, and his accompanying delegation.



According to National Iraqi News Agency, during the meeting, the President emphasized the importance of the national and humanitarian role played by religious authorities in preserving the social fabric, establishing a moderate and balanced approach, and promoting the values of understanding and solidarity, all of which contribute to protecting the country’s stability. He added that the national visions put forth by religious authorities represent a crucial resource for solidifying awareness of national responsibility, strengthening trust among citizens, and enhancing societal unity and its ability to confront challenges.



For his part, al-Modarresi praised the approach adopted by the President in maintaining communication with various national figures and activities, stressing that the convergence of national efforts and the inspiration drawn from ethical and humanitarian values are fundamental to confronting challenges and building a future worthy of Iraqis.
