Baghdad: The President of the Supreme Judicial Council, Judge Faiq Zaidan, received Amer Moussa Al-Husseini, the Head of the Electoral Administration at the Independent High Electoral Commission (IHEC), to discuss the recent electoral process.

According to National Iraqi News Agency, during the meeting, Amer Moussa Al-Husseini provided a detailed explanation of the technical and administrative procedures that the Commission implemented in counting votes and allocating seats electronically. These procedures were conducted without human intervention and were supervised by staff and observers from different segments of the Iraqi population. This process aims to reassure all candidates who participated in the elections that the results announced yesterday were conducted in a professional and accurate manner.

Judge Faiq Zaidan emphasized the importance of addressing complaints and objections regarding the election results promptly. He noted that the judiciary needs to resolve these issues within the legally mandated timeframe, which is essential for the ratification and adoption of the election results.
