Erbil: President of the Kurdistan Region, Nechirvan Barzani, and Turkish Defense Minister, Yasar Guler, stressed the importance of strengthening joint action and coordination among the countries of the region to maintain security and stability.

According to National Iraqi News Agency, a statement from the Kurdistan Region Presidency stated that Nechirvan Barzani held a meeting with Turkish Defense Minister, Yasar Guler, as part of his agenda at the Antalya Diplomatic Forum. The meeting took place this morning, Saturday, focusing on vital regional concerns.

The statement added that during the meeting, they discussed joint cooperation to maintain security and stability in the region, and exchanged views on the situation in Iraq and developments in the region in general.

The two sides emphasized the significance of bolstering joint action and coordination among the countries of the region to maintain security and stability and to protect them from problems and further tensions.
