Baghdad: President of the Republic, Abdul Latif Jamal Rashid, emphasized the importance of strengthening cooperation and coordination between the executive and legislative authorities to consolidate political stability and accelerate the passage of laws affecting citizens’ daily lives.

According to National Iraqi News Agency, the President received at Baghdad Palace a delegation from ‘Abshir Ya Iraq’ parliamentary bloc, headed by MP Mustafa Sanad, along with accompanying members. The meeting reviewed the country’s general situation, as well as key legislative and oversight matters. President Rashid emphasized the need to enhance coordination between the executive and legislative branches in order to reinforce political stability and expedite the enactment of legislation that safeguards citizens’ interests and meets their aspirations.

He also underscored the importance of completing constitutional entitlements to uphold the principle of peaceful transfer of power and further strengthen the democratic process, calling on all parties to demonstrate national responsibility and work collectively in the country’s best interest. For their part, members of the delegation expressed appreciation for the President’s role in supporting constructive dialogue and bridging viewpoints among political forces, affirming their commitment to backing legislation and initiatives aimed at improving public services across Iraq’s provinces.
