Baghdad: President Abdul Latif Jamal Rashid met with Chinese Ambassador to Iraq, Cui Wei, at the Baghdad Palace on Monday. During the meeting, the President emphasized the significance of enhancing the relationship between Iraq and China, focusing on mutual benefits for the people of both nations.

According to National Iraqi News Agency, President Rashid highlighted the necessity for coordination and cooperation across various sectors, including economic, commercial, industrial, and cultural fields. He also acknowledged China’s supportive positions towards Iraq.

Ambassador Cui Wei conveyed China’s eagerness to broaden the scope of cooperation with Iraq. He reiterated China’s appreciation for Iraq’s significant role in the region and expressed a desire to deepen bilateral relations across multiple sectors.
