Baghdad: President of the Republic, Abdul Latif Jamal Rashid, and the head of the National Wisdom Movement, Ammar al-Hakim, engaged in discussions concerning the upcoming parliamentary elections and the necessary preparations required to conduct them on the predetermined date.

According to National Iraqi News Agency, a presidential statement indicated that President Rashid received Ammar al-Hakim on Tuesday. The discussions centered around the forthcoming parliamentary elections, emphasizing the preparations in progress and the significance of active participation by citizens.

In addition to election-related matters, President Rashid and Al-Hakim explored current political, security, and economic developments both within the country and across the region. They deliberated on strategies to strengthen the foundations of security and stability domestically and regionally.
