President Rashid Calls for Enhanced Intelligence Efforts to Maintain Security


Baghdad: President Abdul Latif Jamal Rashid emphasized the importance of intensifying efforts and gathering intelligence information to maintain and enhance the stable security situation in the country.



According to National Iraqi News Agency, a presidential statement detailed a meeting between President Rashid and the head of the National Intelligence Service, Hamid Al-Shatri, where they discussed the developments in security on both domestic and international fronts. The President commended the National Intelligence Service for its role in addressing threats from terrorist groups like ISIS.



The President highlighted the significance of strengthening cooperation with neighboring countries in the realms of security and intelligence, advocating for the exchange of information in the fight against terrorism. He also underscored the necessity of mobilizing efforts to eliminate societal threats and enhance communication with citizens to boost information gathering.



Hamid Al-Shatri, in response, thanked the President for his guidance and provided a comprehensive update on the security issues in Iraq and the broader region. He reiterated the National Intelligence Service’s commitment to maintaining stability and ensuring the safety of citizens.
