Baghdad: President Abdul Latif Jamal Rashid received the head of the Popular Mobilization Forces (PMF), Faleh al-Fayyadh, on Wednesday. The Presidency’s media office issued a statement confirming the meeting, which took place at the Baghdad Palace.

According to National Iraqi News Agency, the discussions focused on the current security situation in the country and the ongoing efforts to combat terrorism. The President emphasized the importance of strengthening security and stability, while also preserving the achievements made against terrorist groups to ensure the protection of citizens.

The statement further noted that Al-Fayyadh outlined the efforts and responsibilities of the PMF during this period, reaffirming the group’s commitment to supporting the security forces in their mission to enhance security and stability across the nation.
