Baghdad: President of the Republic Abdul Latif Jamal Rashid has received an official invitation from President of the Arab Republic of Egypt, Abdel Fattah El-Sisi, to attend the opening ceremony of the Grand Egyptian Museum. Rashid received this message during a meeting with the Egyptian Ambassador to Iraq, Ahmed Samir, at Baghdad Palace. He expressed gratitude for the invitation and extended greetings to President Sisi, along with wishes for Egypt’s continued progress and prosperity. Rashid also emphasized the importance of strengthening bilateral relations and cooperation between Iraq and Egypt to benefit shared interests.
According to National Iraqi News Agency, President Rashid underscored the significant roles of Iraq and Egypt in addressing regional challenges and their efforts to promote peace and stability. He reiterated Iraq’s support for the Palestinian people’s rights and the establishment of their independent state, while stressing the need to end aggression against the Gaza Strip and ensure the
delivery of humanitarian aid.
Additionally, the Egyptian Ambassador, Ahmed Samir, affirmed Egypt’s commitment to enhancing bilateral relations and expanding cooperation and investment opportunities. He highlighted the goal of achieving sustainable development that benefits both Iraqi and Egyptian peoples through economic integration and job creation.
