Baghdad: President Abdul Latif Jamal Rashid emphasized the necessity of halting aggression against the Palestinian people during a meeting with the Saudi Ambassador to Iraq, Abdulaziz Al-Shammari, at Baghdad Palace.

According to National Iraqi News Agency, the Presidency of the Republic released a statement detailing the discussions between President Rashid and Ambassador Al-Shammari. The meeting focused on strengthening bilateral relations and enhancing cooperation between Iraq and Saudi Arabia to benefit both nations.

The statement highlighted that both parties explored the current political and security situations in the region. President Rashid underscored the importance of supporting the Palestinian cause, safeguarding civilians, and working towards ceasing hostilities against the Palestinian people.

In response, Ambassador Al-Shammari commended Iraq’s initiatives to foster regional peace. He reiterated Saudi Arabia’s commitment to preserving bilateral cooperation to promote security, stability, and p
rosperity for both countries.
